What report should I generate if I want to see a list of paid invoices with their payment receipt #?

The Payment Distribution Report displays the list of paid invoices with the payment receipt #. You may also configure to include in the report invoices for which sales returns credits were applied by marking the Include App Credit from Sales Return checkbox.
